Experience

Able to assist in database architecture and data modeling
Able to troubleshoot database issues, monitor multiple databases, perform health checks, automate backup, restore and recovery processes
Capable of creating new databases and cloning existing databases
Excellent communication skills

•         Installation and Administration (SQL 2005)
•         ETL using SSIS – SQL 2005
•         Experience in Version Management / Release Management.
•         Integration Services (SSIS)
•         Notification Services (SSNS)
•         Reporting Services (SSRS)
•         Database Mirroring
•         SQL Server 2005 migration (RDBMS / ETL)
•         Data Modeling (ERWin / Vision)
•         Rational CC / CQ / TFS

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing database development on SQL Server 2005 database
Study and understand high-level instructions provided by the client and/or the Database Development and Support Manager and convert these instructions into a work plan.
Develop SSIS packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers as required
Develop SSRS reports as required.
Execute the tasks contained in the work plan in a timely manner, while delivering code and documentation whose quality exceeds client expectations.
Demonstrate these results consistently for all assignments.
Provide backup and recovery assistance as required.
Develop deployment documentation as required.
