Job Type: Permanent with a Product Development company.

About Company: It's a startup company having secured venture capital funding from global venture capitalists, -one of the biggest venture capital firm in world, and Indian Media houses. Company has started operations in Pune and plans to develop the team of 150 people in coming months.

The company intends to work on Digital Lifestyle Platform where multiple technologies will converge to create a innovative and revolutionary platform for a common person to give better experience and innovative products and services related to digital cable, IT services, Internet and voice interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Developing client/server side code for internal and external applications.
• Writing unit tests, automated regression tests and tracking defects as they occur.
• Understanding requirements, high-end and detailed solution design and development
• Hands on Modifying / Writing new code for existing designs
• Participation in the design process for new projects
• Participation in reviews of requirements, design, source code, and supporting documentation
• Supporting and assisting internal and external customers.
• Contributing to the broader growth and company culture of we want you to become part of the team, not 'just another employee'.
• At least three year appropriate industry experience in Java/J2EE Development.
• Solid Java development experience and talent. Any experience using Open Source frameworks, or different areas of the J2EE stack a benefit.
• An understanding of the following broad technologies: J2EE ,XML, XSL,JSP, Servlets, Java i18n, Log4J, Java NIO, Internet protocols, TestDriven Development, Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, JDBC, and Relational databases,
• Experience with IBM WebSphere Application/ ESB Server.
• Experience of Object Oriented design techniques and application
• Good analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Secondary Skills:

• Spring, Hibernate and Maven
• Agile experience (including test driven development, pair
programming, refactoring and continuous integration) is a plus.
• Experience writing unit tests and functional tests.
• Broad knowledge of software industry and technology.
• Understanding of Java Security API, Cryptography and Security.
• Experience in Software Product development
• Experience/Familiar ity with a Content Management/Digital Media System
