Job Title: Production Control Distributed Systems - Specialist

Job Description:

This position is responsible for Production Control activities within the distributed platforms (Unix, Linux) and covers detailed knowledge in operating systems, deployment software, operational tools, database management software and other similar systems.

Experience:

• 2-3 years experience in computer operations environment and Bachelor's Degree required

Skills Required:

• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
• Knowledge of shell scripting
• Application testing concepts
• Working knowledge of a workload management tool such as: CA Autosys, CA ESP, CRON
• Working knowledge of relational databases such as: Oracle or SQL, including SQL, PL SQL.
• Working knowledge of a version control tool such as: CVS, CA Harvest, Rational ClearCase
• Working knowledge of a build tool or compiler such as: Ant, Gnu
• Working knowledge of one software delivery tool such as: CA Unicenter (SDO & AMO), HP Opsware & FTP
Working knowledge of zero touch software installation processes
• Troubleshooting capabilities
• Must be willing to participate in on call rotation
• Must be willing to work multiple shifts

Desired Skills:

• Working knowledge of Java and/or C helpful.
• Knowledge of PERL scripting
• Knowledge of middle tiered applications such as Weblogic, Tomcat, Websphere
• Basic knowledge of Mainframe (including JCL and Procedures
