Job title: Developer - WLI

Job description:

Under minimal supervision, analyzes designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements more complex systems components, software tools, applications and utilities with full competency. Confers with supervisor on unusual or conflicting matters. Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Reviews systems under development and related documentation. Makes more complex modifications to existing software to fit specialized needs and configurations, and maintains program libraries and technical documentation. May coordinate or lead activities of the project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs. Assignments are broad in nature with latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent from a reputed institute

Skills required:

Mandatory skills
• Strong in Core Java (JDK1.4 onwards), SQL (Oracle/SQL Server), J2EE (EJB, JMS, MDBs etc), WLI 8. X and / or WLI 9.2.2. Familiarity with source code management tools like CVS, Harvest etc
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, UNIX platforms and exposure to development environments like Eclipse and My Eclipse
• Exposure to logging framework like log4j etc.
• Basic knowledge of SQLs (Joins, inner joins etc.) i.e. databases like Oracle, SQL Server and familiar with Web Services
• Applied experience on either Weblogic Integration 8.x or 9.2.2

Responsibilities:

• Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization
• Responsible for daily communications to management and internal organizations regarding status of all assigned tasks. Develops accurate task definition, estimates, and task schedules for own assignments. Responsible for preparation and maintenance of problem logs (issue logs) and communicates log status to analysts or users
• Participates with Business Systems Analysts in the business design (requirements definition) and technical design (external design) of end-user applications systems
• Assists with the implementation of new systems including the integration of the new system
• Assists in verifying installed systems to ensure that they adequately meet user requirements
• Participates in coding of new programs, creating new data structures, physical data record/file design, creating new job streams, and modifying existing programs, data structures, and job streams. All work is produced in accordance with established procedures, following departmental standards, guidelines and system development methodologies on all assigned tasks
• Develops test cases and test plans, creates the unit test environment, and conducts unit and system tests for new or modified programs and/or job streams
• Submits program and design work for review by technical and user staff and participates in the review of program and design work of others. Reviews validate the application of sound programming and design techniques
• Prepares and maintains program and system documentation using established department standards and methodologies
• Independently resolves day-to-day problems within the business segment; involves and guides other team members in problem solving efforts
• Stays level of emerging technologies and trends in software development industry
